LRO News

We have great news for our Judging panel.  Jani Turkia has been accepted by Germany to start in the apprentice program in the New Year.  He will be an asset to our already experienced Judges.

Anyone wanting to complete a breed survey with their German Shepherd Dog, must do the AD, BH and IPO 1 with an SV club.  The SV does not recognize DVG's titles for breed survey purposes.  Your BH and IPO 1 from DVG trials will still allow you trial for levels 2 and 3 at all SV/USCA trials.

To qualify for the BSP FH in Germany you must win the LV Championship with at least 90 points in FH 2 ( one track) or in IPO FH (two tracks). If anyone has any questions please contact me directly.

There seems to still be some confusion about scorebooks, DVG verses AWDF.  If you are trialing in a DVG trial and you are a DVG member your dog must have a DVG scorebook.  You may acquire an AWDF scorebook in addition to your DVG scorebook and hand both in at any DVG trial to be filled in.  To be able to compete at the DVG Championship you must have a DVG scorebook with a qualifying score for IPO 3 in your DVG scorebook. If you are showing as a one or two at the Championship you must also have a DVG scorebook and at least one of your previous titles must have been obtained in a DVG trial with your DVG scorebook.

Please make sure that if someone is a DVG member,  they enter with a DVG scorebook.  They cannot enter as a DVG member with just an AWDF scorebook that was issued through DVG. A person must first acquire a DVG scorebook and then they can get an AWDF scorebook. A DVG member can enter a trial with a valid membership card and scorebook from another organization and show as a guest but they cannot show as a guest with one dog and as a DVG member with another dog within in the same trial.
